'08 Pinot Noir Two Pisces Vineyard Sonoma Coast

Winemaking

The fruit was handpicked from Pommard 5 and Dijon 115 blocks on September 10.
Fermented with native yeasts after a five day cold soak.
Aged for eleven months in a neutral French oak barrel.
Bottled on August 8, 2009.
Unfined and unfiltered. Only 25 cases produced.
(We experimentally/partially used Zork as a closure.)

Tasting Notes

Deep reddish purple in color. With aromas of cranberry and cherry fruits. A touch of floral/spice.
Good acid and concentration. Bright fruits. A very balanced wine.
Decent food wine at 13.2% alcohol.
